Constantly adjusting my daily priorities to keep me a step ahead. Calling any and all prospects to fill my calendar with appointments. Because the more appointments I book the more opportunities to close deals I have, which should result in a healthier pipeline, right?
Spending an excessive amount of time travelling to appointments. Yes, sometimes feeling more like a chauffeur than a sales professional. Routing, and re-routing in an attempt to use travel time in the most productive and efficient way.
I find myself clashing with call centre agents whom we hired to help target prospects. Why? Because too often they double book appointment slots! Great… now the calendar is a mess! I have no time to travel to my appointments, or to book my own.
Oh no! My prospect cancelled an appointment at the last minute. Will I lose the next hour making more calls to try and fill this slot or be stuck doing admin in a random coffee shop? This is not good enough and definitely impedes productivity!
Month-end is approaching at light-speed. Panic! I have to completely readjust my priorities if I’m going to meet target. I don’t have the time to wrestle with reports in my CRM to gain insight! Using my travel time wisely matters more than ever now! Which opportunities do I focus on? How can I improve my sales performance in order to bring better results?
